God is restoring us today the truth that we may experience direct fellowship and communion with Him. And as we draw aside to Him in our prayer closets, His spirit grows strong in us.
Know His Heart--We are in a society where everyone loves to be busy ever second of their lives (I know I am that way). However, how does that give us much time to truly spend with God to be able to know His heart. Take time and withdraw yourself from your busy schedule to be alone with God. Take this time to go beyond your normal routine and be filled with the Holy Spirit. (You won't miss anything happening on earth that is as great as God is.) Let it be just God's and your time.

Word of God Speak
Mercy Me--Word of God Speak
Really listen to this song and take in the lyrics!! When I slowed down my life this morning and really took in what was being said I had nothing to say. Sometimes God does make us lost for words where all we need to do is slow down our busy lives and be still. Let God do the talking once and a while and do not be scared to have a time of peace and quiet. Have God time just you and Him.
"Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation.I will be honored throughout the world." Psalm 46:10

Higher
"We have everything we need to live a life that pleases God. It was all given to us by God's own power, when we learned He had invited us to share His wonderful goodness. God made great and marvelous promises, so His nature would become part of us. Then we could escape our evil desires and the corrupt influences of this world.
Do your best to improve your faith by adding goodness, understanding, self-control, patience, devotion to God, concerns for others, and love. If you keep growing in this way, it will show that what you know about our Lord Jesus Christ has made your lives useful and meaningful. But if you don't grow, you are like someone who is nearsighted or blind, and you have forgotten that your past sins are forgiven.
My friends, you must do all you can to show God has really chosen and selected you. If you keep doing this, you won't stumble and fall. Then our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will give you a glorious welcome into his kingdom that will last forever."

Lately, I have been wanting to be drawn closer to God in ways that I have not been before. I am longing to know Him more and more each day. I have this driving force inside of me to read the wonderful words the Lord has provide us. I have been wanting to talk to Him more often to strength my relationship with Him. I ask Him Jesus to draw me closer to Him so I can hear Him more effectively and do His will.
God has provided everything we need through His power; however, we still want more and more. I know for me most of the things I want are materialist, earthly things that will just fade away. God's love will not fade for it is immeasurable and unfailing. I pray that God's amazing nature and power will be living through me today and my days to come and I am able to improve my faith by adding those things He wants me to.
I was listening to my songs on itunes and Lincoln Brewster's Take Me Higher came on and this song really expresses how I have been feeling.
Psalm 72:25 "In heaven I have only you and on this earth you are all I want."

That I May Know Him...
'That I may know Him...' Philippians 3:10
Paul writes: 'That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings.' Now, we know about resurrection power. It's the power that raised Jesus from the dead.
Think!!...
-What problem or need do you have that resurrection power can't handle?
-What is dead in your life that needs to be raised, or broken that needs to be fixed?
-When you make intimacy with Christ your top priority, you tap into this power. Why is it that some Christians live as 'more than conquerors,' while others seem to go around defeated all the time?
The answer isn't in their circumstances, because victorious Christians and defeated Christians face basically the same kind of trials. The answer isn't in who goes to church more often, or who reads the Bible and who doesn't.
The answer is, victorious Christians know Christ more intimately, therefore they experience His life-giving power! But a lot of us would like to put a period after the words, 'The power of His resurrection.' No, if we're going to know Christ intimately we must also know Him in 'the fellowship of His sufferings.' This word 'sufferings' means more than just enduring a bad allergy season or having a bump in your car. For Paul it meant being badly beaten and beheaded! But it also meant a special kind of intimacy with the Lord that can't be known any other way.
If you've ever suffered deeply with another person you understand what this means. We'll never truly be intimate with somebody if we say to them, 'I only want to share the good times with you, keep your suffering to yourself.'

Do we . . .? ?
Do we who call ourselves the children of God, the followers of Jesus, grasp what this means? Do we consider every day what type of spirit must be in us if we truly are to be followers of Jesus Christ and call Him our Lord?
I know for me I am still learning this every single day of my life. And so far I have been enjoying the journey that God has given me.
Jesus was not on the cross because He was forced to be on it, but because He submitted Himself on it. Jesus' work was obedience to His Master and did the will of the One who sent Him. Like Christ we must be willing to become the lowliest to that others might have life. Jesus said in Matthew 10:39 "he who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it." So here is the choice you have to make: do you seriously want to lose your life for His sake or continue to fight it and struggle on your own?
Another thing that needs to be brought up is submitting to God...the definition of submit is to give over or yield to the power or authority of another. God is calling us to submit ourselves to be used by Him in whatever place He sends us (for some it might be overseas while others it might be in their own neighborhood). We might not know right now what God is calling us to do, however, the more we seek Him the more He will be able to guide us in the direction we should go.
"Christians" need to find his or her gifts or calling by truly being "Christ's follower". Christians need to submit to His authority and take our place as His servants. Until then, He cannot reveal the greatest mystery, which is Christ in us, to the world!! Neither will God entrust us with gifts, callings, or revelations until we die to our self-centeredness because with these things comes responsibility. The responsibility to lifting up others by spirit until they, too, see God and worship Him and follow Him.
I feel lately that I am at the point where I want to strive to find what my true gift and calling is. And I do not want to just call myself a "christian" but I really want to live it out and follow Christ. It is not an easy task and sometimes I have to take a second to think about things before I say them, care about them, think them, or do them, but I am sure it will be well worth it at the end of my journey. If we leave our cares to God, we receive grace to lift others' burdens. It is then that we find the joy that Jesus found when God empowered Him with the Spirit to pour out His soul for others. "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12
